A moment filled with endings and beginnings, wonder and excitement, nerves and inspiration.
A single moment acting as a bridge, a portal, if you will…
A moment engaged by the discovery of old letters, documents, and priceless photos, the piecing together of puzzles and the unravelling of stories, the tapping of keys and pressing of buttons…
All in an effort to fold time and unfold origin stories that were, before this moment, unimaginable.
The foundations of this space… this site, this business, and this old-school, long-form blog, were inspired by my 2x great grandma, Hannah Ann, born 116 years before I was. Hannah’s granddaughter, Eve, was my grandmother and the bridge between us.
I exist because they (and so many before them) carved their way through worlds that didn’t quite know what to make of them, surviving and thriving against all odds.
And so this next chapter of my story will be in honor of all who’ve come before, and all who’ve yet to come…
And in honor of all who are standing alongside us (seen and unseen), being their boldest, queerest, most inspired selves.
